Abstract

ABSTRACT This thesis want to analyze the influence of the human resource roles on managerial practices, where the firm tried to do transformation from traditional human resources management to new roles human resources management to increased organizational performance. There are four item that are going to be tested in this study: (1) the different of implementation level of the human resources roles as a strategic partner, administrative expert, employee champion, and agent of change; (2) the pattern of implementation human resources roles among firms at Kawasan Industri Terboyo Semarang; (3) the interrelation between human resource roles; (4) and influence of implementation human resource roles on organizational performance. Data for analysis achieved from l 50 respondents by questionnaires. Moreover, a number of feasible samples for analyzes achieved from 77 respondents. Analysis techniques used value of mean (one-way ANOVA), deviation standard, Pearson's Correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression analysis that processed with SPSS 10.0 program. The result of this study indicated that generally the firms at Kawasan Industri Terboyo Semarang had implemented new human resources roles, although with the different scheme pattern of implementation among firms. Homogeneity roles represented by strategic partner and administrative expert roles, while employee champion and agent of change roles indicated a relatively heterogeneity. The implementation for each role had supported by others. However, the implementation of four roles of human resource had positive direction and significant influence toward organizational performance. Theoretical and managerial implication, suggest for future research addressed on this study too, for driven and supported other research with topic that have similarity. ABSTRAKSI Tesis ini hendak menguji peran sumber daya manusia dalam praktek-praktek manajerial saat ini, di mana perusahaan berusaha melakukan transformasi dari manajemen sumber daya manusia tradisional menuju pada peran sumber daya manusia yang baru. Ada empat persoalan yarig hendak diuji, yaitu: (1) Perbedaan tingkat pelaksanaan peran sumber daya manusia sebagai mitra strategik, ahli administratif, pejuang pekerja, dan agen perubahan; (2) Pola pelaksanaan peran sumber daya manusia diantara perusahaan-perusahaan (3) Hubungan antar peran sumber daya manusia; (4) dan pengaruh implementasi peran sumber daya manusia pada kinerja perusahaan. Analisis data dilakukan pada 150 responden, di mana kelayakan data yang dianalisis berjunilah 77 buah. Teknik analisis yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah one way anova, standar deviasi, korelasi Pearson, dan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS 10.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum perusahaan-perusahaan di Kawasan Industri Terboyo Semarang sudah melaksanakan peran sumber daya manusia, meskipun dengan pola pelaksanaan yang berbeda. Homogenitas peran terjadi pada peran mitra strategik dan ahli administratif Sedangkan peran pejuang pekerja dan agen perubahan relatif heterogen. Pelaksanaan setiap peran bersifat saling mendukung peran yang lain. Selain itu pelaksanaan keempat peran sumber daya manusia mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan dengan arah hubungan yang positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Implikasi teoritis dan manajerial serta agenda penelitian mendatang juga disajikan sebagai bagian perbaikan dan pedoman penelitian mendatang.
