Abstract
BPR, as a banking Institution, collects funds from public and distributes it backs to public in form of credits. Credits are a highly risky business because there are chances that it cannot be collected, when it has been given, because of many reasons. Therefore, before releasing a credit, doing credit analysis to prevent credit stagnation is important. Credit stagnation, which happens in banking business, are also happening in BPR BKK Dawe, KUDUS, as can be seen in growing credit stagnation that likely to increase and even in June and July 2000 it amounts to more than 34%. Therefore, this research is undertaken to exam empirical evidence about factors that significantly causal for credit stagnation. This research is hoped to find out how far it affects on credit stagnation and also to suggest alternative solutions to deal with this condition. Using Simple random sampling utilizing by Harry King’s Nomogram, it results in 35 debtors as samples. In this exainination, credit stagnation proxy as the amount of credit given by debtor as Y, while credit terms (Xi), interest rate (X2), and the level of collectibility (X3) are given different measure as month, Rupiah, and %, respectively. It is then transformed into log natural model (ln). Subsequently, the model was analyzed using coupled linear regression. Utilizing SPS S 10.00 version, the result of analysis show that all factors these are credit terms (Xi), interest rate (X2), and the level of collectibility (X3), both partial and collective have significant influence on credit stagnation.
