MISTISISME MASYARAKAT JAWA DALAM KOMIK CREEP IN SEASON 1 KARYA INO SEPTIAN PADA PLATFORM WEBTOON SEBUAH TINJAUAN SEMIOTIKA

Abstract

The material object in this research is the Comic Creep In Season 1 by Ino Septian. While the formal object is an analysis of Javanese mysticism in Webtoon comics with a semiotic approach. This study aims to describe: (1) structural elements in Creep In, (2) signs (representamen), objects and interpretations of meaning (interpretants), and (3) elements of Javanese mysticism in Creep In comics. The methods used in this research are the structural method to examine the intrinsic elements in Creep In and the semiotic method of Charles Sanders Peirce's model to examine the meaning of signs in Creep In. The results of comic analysis Creep In show that there is an analysis of the intrinsic elements in the form of themes, characters, sets, plot, point of view, mandate, and structural aspects of comics such as word balloons, sound effects, panels, and images. Analysis of the signs representamen (icon, index, symbol), objects, and interpreter, as well as the analysis of mystical aspects of Javanese mysticism in the form of Javanese people's belief in spirits, Javanese people's belief in supernatural powers, and the symbolic meaning of Javanese culture in the Creep In which consists of the symbolic meaning of mantras, symbolic meaning of mantras, and symbolic meaning of asceticism.
