Abstract
One of the problems that often arise in residential areas is domestic waste water pollution. These problems if not settled could undermine the role, function, and aesthetic value of the environment for life around. Therefore we need a wastewater treatment system before being discharged into the environment. One is IPAL Sewon Bantul by using facultative stabilization ponds. Concentration of BOD is a measure of the waste water treatment quality that serve as the quality standard of domestic wastewater. So needed some information about it’s characteristics of distribution pattern in the processing system. One way that can be used to determine it used a mathematical model of partial differential equations 1 (one) - dimension with the Non-Homogeneous Dirichlet Boundary Condition which constructed from transport model with advection - diffusion mechanism’s. Model solved analytically by using Separation Variable Method’s. Based on the model solutions known that the farther the pollutants spread, the BOD concentration decreases. Keywords : domestic waste water, stabilization pond, BOD, distribution concentration.
