Representasi Ketidakadilan Gender dalam Novel Kim Ji-yeong Lahir Tahun 1982 Karya Cho Nam-Joo: Kajian Gender

Abstract

A novel by Cho Nam-Joo titled Kim Ji-yeong Lahir Tahun 1982 has various forms of gender inequality. This study aims to describe the results of the structural analysis of fiction and aspects of gender inequality in the novel. The method used is the sociology of literature method with listening and note-taking techniques. At the data analysis stage, the researcher used the novel Kim Ji-Yeong Lahir Tahun 1982 by Cho Nam-Joo as a material object using a structuralism approach as the basic stage of analysis. The sociology of literature approach with gender theory is used as a reference for gender inequality analysis. The results of data analysis in this study were descriptive qualitative. The results showed that five aspects of gender inequality were found, namely marginalization, subordination, stereotypes, violence, and double burden. Keywords : novel, gender, gender inequality.
