ANALISIS WACANA “KITA YANG BODOH ATAU SEKOLAH YANG BODOH? (KAK SETO)” DI PODCAST DEDDY CORBUZIER (Analisis Wacana Kritis Model Teun A. Van Dijk)

Abstract

Podcasts as a form of Youtube content are considered to have good popularity because they provide the information users need. One of the Youtube channels that is currently loved by social media users is Deddy Corbuzier's channel. In one of his videos with the theme of Education in Indonesia, Deddy also invited Kak Seto as a resource person. This study aims to describe the discourse of Teun A. van Dijk's model on video podcasts through text construction, social cognition, and social analysis. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The method of providing data in this study used the listening method and note-taking technique. Through the note-taking technique, all conversations on podcasts were transcribed into text to facilitate the process of data classification and research. Data analysis used critical discourse analysis of Teun A. van Dijk's model to describe text construction, social cognition, and social analysis. The results of the research show that through the analysis of the macro-structure and superstructure text construction, the topic that builds podcast discourse is education in Indonesia. In the analysis of the construction of the text, information is found that is explained implicitly or explicitly. Information that is explained implicitly is found in the background element, while information that is explained explicitly and explicitly is explained in the element of intent and detail. In addition, this study also shows that the data or information presented by Deddy and Kak Seto is information that can be verified if it is reviewed using supporting research. Not only that, this study found that the education system in Indonesia has tried to meet the needs of students according to their potential. In the analysis of social cognition, it was found that Deddy Corbuzier's podcast first observed and looked for information related to guest stars on podcasts. This is done to dig deeper into a topic that is appropriate for the guest star to talk about. Social analysis found that the great access that Deddy had due to his popularity and influence on society could influence the audience's view of the podcast or discourse that he brought.Keywords: podcasts, critical discourse analysis, text construction, socio-cognition, social analysis, education.
