Abstract

This study aims to describe language acquisition based on language acquisition factors and language acquisition in the field of phonology in children aged two to three years in Dukuh Kuncen, Bubakan Subdistrict, Mijen District, Semarang City. Data collection methods include observation, listening, and speaking. Using basic interview, tapping, and fishing techniques. Using advanced conversational listening (SLC) techniques, independent conversational listening (SBLC), face -to -face talk (CS), notes, and recording. The source of data for this study is the speech of five children aged two to three years in Kuncen Hamlet. This research is qualitative, identifying data informally in accordance with psycholinguistic. Based on the results of data analysis, factors that affect everyday language acquisition in children were found to include (1) age, (2) gender, (3) parental education, (4) parental occupation, (5) psychosocial stimulation, (6) learning motivation, and (7) peer groups. Language acquisition in children in the field of phonology found that some children still have difficulty pronouncing some consonant phonemes such as /r /, /s /, /l /, /j /, and /k /. However, there are still children who can pronounce some consonant phonemes such as /r /, /g /, and /j /clearly. The number of vocabulary produced by a child aged 2 years 5 months is still small, and the sentence produced consists of only one word, while the other three children have been able to produce simple sentences with more vocabulary.
