ANALISIS KONTRASTIF VERBA TOMARU DALAM BAHASA JEPANG DAN VERBA BERHENTI DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA 日本語の動詞「とまる」とインドネシア語の動詞「Berhenti」の対照分析

Abstract

ABSTRACT Prasetyaningtyas, Alif. 2021. “Analisis Kontrastif Verba Tomaru dalam Bahasa Jepang dan Verba Berhenti dalam Bahasa Indonesia”. Thesis. Japanese Language and Culture Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Advisor: Elizabeth Ika Hesti Aprilia Nindia Rini, S.S., M.Hum. The research aims: 1. To describe the structure of Japanese verb “tomaru” and Indonesian verb “berhenti”; 2. To describe the meaning of Japanese verb “tomaru” and Indonesian verb “berhenti”; and 3. To describe the similarities and differences between Japanese verb “tomaru” and Indonesian verb “berhenti”. The research data were obtained from novels, online news sites, and online articles. The data collection method in this thesis was simak method with catat technique. Then, using contrastive analysis method to analysis the data. Meanwhile, informal method is used to presenting the results of the analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the similarities between Japanese verb “tomaru” and Indonesian verb “berhenti” are: 1. Both of these verbs are intransitive verbs; 2. Both of these verbs are verbal phrases; 3. Both of these verbs can be a noun attribute of nominal phrases; and 4. Both of these verbs have 2 similar meaning. Meanwhile, the differences between Japanese verb “tomaru” and Indonesian verb “berhenti” are Japanese verb “tomaru” can be a phrase in the form of kanyouku and both of these verbs have 9 different meaning.
