ADJEKTIVA SUTEKI DAN SUBARASHII DALAM KALIMAT BAHASA JEPANG 日本語における形容詞「すてき」と「すばらしい」の比較

The Advisor: Elizabeth Ika Hesti ANR, S.S., M.Hum. This research discusses the adjectives suteki and subarashii which have the same meaning in Indonesian. Because foreign learners of Japanese difficult to distinguish between the use of suteki and subarashii adjectives. So the authors conducted this study to determine the structure and meaning as well as the similarities and differences between suteki and subarashii adjectives. The first step is to collect data using simak and catat techniques. Then the data were analyzed using a deskriptif method and using the substitusi method. The adjectives suteki and subarashii are both used to express praise and give a higher degree. The similarity between the two adjectives makes it possible to replace each other in Japanese sentences. In addition, a difference was found between the adjectives suteki and subarashii. The difference in meaning and usage makes the two adjectives unable to replace each other in Japanese sentences.
