Abstract

ABSTRACT Safitri, Ratri Nur. “The personality of Yoshimoto Kouya in Kazoku Game drama of Yuichi Sato according to Allport’s Theory”. Thesis of Japanese Language and Culture Studies Program, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The Adivisor is Nur Hastuti, S.S., M.Hum. Kazoku Game is a Japanese drama based on the best-selling novel by the author Yohei Honma. In 2013 the novel was turned into a Japanese drama directed by Yuichi Sato. The main character in this drama is Yoshimoto Kouya or Tagou Yuudai played by Sho Shakurai who enters the Numata family to become a private teacher who teaches school lessons and life lessons for the Numata family with family games or kazoku games he makes. This study aims to analyze and describe the narrative elements of the film and provide a picture of Yoshimoto sensei's personality reflected in the drama Kazoku Game. The data collection method used in this research is literature study method. While the data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative. The theory used in this research is Gordon Allport's narrative theory and personality theory. Every finding in the data is analyzed to determine the personality character of the Yoshimoto character in everyday life and the narrative element in the drama. The result of the research is the discovery of a narrative element consisting of elements of space and time, the actors of the story, the problems and conflicts, and the objectives. Meanwhile, in Yoshimoto sensei's personality, 14 personality traits were found in Allport's 7 personality maturities.
