This study examines the criticism of the discrimination phenomenon in Shingeki no Kyojin manga. This manga describes the discrimination the Marleys did to the Eldians. The purpose of this study is to explain the structural elements and the criticism of discrimination phenomenon in the manga. This research is conducted by library research with a sociological literature approach and presented in a qualitative descriptive manner. The fictional structuralism theory by Nurgiyantoro is used to analyze the structural elements. Pettigrew's theory of discrimination is used to help identifying the phenomenon of discrimination which is followed by a critique of the phenomenon. The results of the criticism are: 1) the emergence of resistance movements; 2) historical hegemony; and 3) object of discrimination’s inferiority Keywords: discrimination; critic; sociology of literature; manga; Shingeki no Kyojin
