Abstract
Pemanasan global menjadi satu isu penting akhir-akhir inidiseebabkan.peningkatan emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK).Peternakan adalah salah satu sektor yang berkontribusi dalam peningkatan GRKyang berasal dari fermentasi enterik dan kotoran hewan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengkajibeban emisi gas metana dan dinitrogen oksida dan perkiraan jumlah yang dihasilkan dari aktivitas peternakan di Kecamatan Boyolali.Peternakan masih dikelola secara tradisionil dan populasi ternak di seriap peternakan umumnya rendah.Letak peternakan menyebar dengan jarak relatif jauh, Potensi emisi gas metana dari fermentasi enteriksapi perah di kecamatan Boyolali sebesar0,29Gg CH4 yr-1, dan dari kotoran ternak 0,15 Gg CH4 yr-1. Emisi N2O langsung dari pengelolaan kotoran ternak sebesar 153,5 kg N2O/tahun, emisi tidak langsung sebesar 23,02kg N2O/tahun. Strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mitigasi GRK dengan modifikasi pakan dengan kecernaan yang tinggi dan memanfaatkan kotoran ternak menjadi lebih bernilai ekonomis dan lebih ramah lingkungan. Kata Kunci : Gas Rumah Kaca, Peternakan, Strategi, Mitigasi, Kecamatan Boyolali Global warming has become an important issue lately caused. increased Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Livestock is one of the sectors that contribute to the increase in GHGs derived from enteric fermentation and animal waste. The purpose of this study is to examine the burden of methane and nitrous oxide emissions and an estimate of the amount generated from animal husbandry activities in Boyolali District. Farms are still traditionally managed and livestock populations on each farm are generally low. The location of livestock is spread with a relatively far distance, the potential emissions of methane gas from enteric fermentation of dairy cows in Boyolali sub-district amounted to 0.29 Gg CH4 yr-1, and from livestock manure 0.15 Gg CH4 yr-1. Direct N2O emissions from livestock manure management are 153.5 kg N2O / year, indirect emissions are 23.02 kg N2O / year. Strategies that can be taken to mitigate Greenhouse Gas by modifying feed with high digestibility and utilizing livestock manure are more economically valuable and more environmentally friendly.
