The Purposes of this research is to analyze the meaning of expressive speech act’s when coupled with Japanese sentence-ending particles and to analyze the function of Japanese sentence-ending particles when coupled with expressive speech in the drama Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yakunitatsu The theory used in this research is Speech Acts Theory by George Yule. This theory used to analyze the meaning of expressive speech act when coupled with Japanese sentence-ending particle that used in drama Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yakunitatsu. The second theory used in this research is Japanese sentence-ending particle by Naoko CHino. This theory is used to analyze the function of Japanese sentence-ending particles when coupled with expressive speech. Keywords: speech act, expressive, sentence-ending particle, drama.
