ABSTRACT Marwanto, Levi Moris. 2021. “Dialek Kansai dan Kosakata Khusus pada Anime Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga serta Padanannya dalam Bahasa Jepang Standar”. Thesis, Department of Japanese Language and Culture Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The Advisor Reny Wiyatasari, S.S, M.Hum. In writing this thesis, the writer examines an analysis of Standard Japanese equivalents of the Kansai dialect and Special Vocabularies in an anime titled Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga. This thesis aims to describe the forms of the Kansai dialect in the gender-marking part of speech and their equivalents in Standard Japanese, as well as to describe the Special Vocabularies of the Kansai dialect that occurs in that anime. The writer obtained data from anime videos downloaded on the internet. These data were collected using the observation method with advanced techniques of record technique and note-taking technique. Then, to analyze the Kansai dialect forms and their equivalent in Standard Japanese, the writer used the extra-lingual comparing method. Meanwhile, to analyze the Special Vocabularies of the Kansai dialect and its equivalent in Standard Japanese using the intralingual comparing method. Based on the analyzed data, it can be assumed that the gender-marking of the Kansai dialect forms that appeared in the anime consist of the gender-marking part of speech that consisting of a sentence-ending particle, interjection, and pronouns. A sentence-ending particle consists of na, ya, de, wa, and nen. Interjection consists of seya, yoroshû, honma, ohayôsan, suman, and tanomu. Pronouns consist of ate, anta, and antara. Meanwhile, the Special Vocabularies of the Kansai dialect that appears are aho, akan, omoroi, oru, sakai, shânai, and shindoi. Also, it can be known that the gender-marking Kansai dialect forms in the anime Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga are generally used in casual situations and are mostly neutral, which can be used by both men and women.
