This study aims to reveal the heroic values of the characters in the Wisanggeni Fairy Tale novel, Menguak Misteri Hitam. The data source of this research is the novel Wisanggeni Fairy Tale, Menguak Misteri Hitam by Dwi Klik Santosa, published by Kinara Kinari in 2018. The problem in this research is how the building blocks of the novel structure and the heroic values contained in the novel Wisanggeni Menguak Misteri Black. This research is a library research, using qualitative methods. This research uses the fictional structure theory and the theory of heroism. The approach used in this research is the sociology of literature. The results of this study indicate that the theme used is the struggle of a group of good characters to eradicate all evil caused by the bad characters. The main character in the novel Wisanggeni Dongeng Menguak Misteri Hitam is Wisanggeni. Characteristics in this novel use analytical and dramatic techniques. The plot used is the sub-plot (parallel) and mixed flow. The most abundant and dominant location is the Nagasetra hill valley. The time setting in this novel is explained only in a few events, and less specific includes morning, noon, evening, and night. The social background in this novel is only found in Amarta. This social background is in the form of a just, prosperous and prosperous life. The mandate that can be learned is not to give up easily in fighting evil, and must be optimistic in fighting. Meanwhile, from the results of the analysis of heroic values, the novel Wisanggeni Fairy Tales Menguak Misteri Hitam has five core points in it. These points include being of merit and benefit to others, solidarity, being willing to sacrifice, never giving up, as well as upholding justice and eradicating evil that comes from black forces.
