Abstract
ABSTRACT Mahendra, Kevin Ihza. 2020. “Self Actualization of Character Naofumi in Anime Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari(盾の勇者の成り上がり) by Aneko Yusagi (A Literature Psychology Research)”. A thesis of Japanese and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. This thesis uses a material object in the form of an anime entitled Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari by Aneko Yusagi. Meanwhile, the formal object of this research is the self-actualization representation of Naofumi’s character. The theory used in this research is the theory of film narrative structure by Himawan Pratista and Abraham Maslow's theory of self-actualization. The purpose of this research is to analyze the narrative structure of the anime Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari and the self-actualization representation of Iwatani Naofumi’s character. The results of this study indicate that every human being or individual has a tend to actualize himself. This influenced and affects the people around him.
