Abstract

ABSTRACT Wijaya, Naufalqilla Rizkia. 2020. “Moral Value in Video Game Doraemon: Nobita no Bokujou Monogatari; Sociology and Literature Studies". Undergraduate Thesis, Japanese Language and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Advisor Fajria Noviana, S.S., M.Hum. This undergraduate thesis examines the moral values contained in the video game Doraemon: Nobita no Bokujou Monogatari. There are two purpose of this research, first is to describe the structure of the DNBM video game genre Role-Playing Game and second is to describe the moral values contained therein. This research is a library research with the sociology of literature method. Data presented in a descriptive qualitative manner. The structural analysis is based on the basic elements that make up Wibawanto's writings game. The analysis of moral values is based on Luhmer's writings on Japanese moral education for the elementary school level, which is divided into four relationships that must be met. As a result, it is known that the four relationships in moral education as the standard of Japanese moral values have been fulfilled. The four relationships are which divided into four groups of desirable habits. The four relationships are 1) matters belonging to oneself; 2) relationship of self to other persons; 3) matters related chiefly to nature and sublime things; 4) matters concerning the group and society. It can be concluded that the DNBM video game is very appropriate to provide teaching about moral values, especially to children. In addition, the results of this study are expected to balance the many negative perceptions about video games in society. Keywords: Video Game; Literature Work; Moral Value
