These conflicts are Hikigaya's inner conflict when he was teased in the past, inner conflict when ordered to play tennis in pairs, and Hikigaya's inner conflict with Yuigahama and Yukinoshita. The schizoid symptoms experienced by the main character are lack of interest in having close relationships, like being alone, not caring about other people, but still having a desire to hang out with other people.
