Abstract

Green campus merupakan konsep kampus berwawasan lingkungan, yang mengintegrasikan ilmu pengetahuan lingkungan ke dalam kebijakan, manajemen, dan kegiatan perguruan tinggi. Green campus juga menjadi implementasi pengintegrasian ilmu lingkungan dalam semua aspek manajemen dan praktek pembangunan berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diperlukan standar yang dapat dijadikan acuan dan dorongan untuk pihak manajemen agar dapat meningkatkan efektivitasnya dalam menyukseskan program green campus, salah satunya yaitu UI GreenMetric. Tujuan penelitian ini berguna untuk meninjau sejauh mana penerapan program UI GreenMetric diimplementasikan di Universitas Diponegoro dan memberi rekomendasi pada kategori atau indikator yang belum terpenuhi. Optimalisasi penerapan UI GreenMetric dapat dijadikan referensi selanjutnya dalam pembangunan universitas berkonsep green campus di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data berupa studi literatur dari metode yang digunakan pada UI GreenMetric yang dianggap sesuai dengan strategi peningkatan efektivitas dalam penerapan green campus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai yang didapat Universitas Diponegoro sesuai dengan metodeyang terdapat dalam UI GreenMetric yaitu sebesar 8550.Evaluasi terhadap metode yang digunakan UI GreenMetric mengarah pada permasalahan kritis dalam pemeringkatan perguruan tinggi terkait keberlanjutan.Metode UI GreenMetric tidak memberikan ambang batas minimum dalam keikutsertaan dalam pemeringkatan. Permasalahan lain yang terdapat dalam metode UI GreenMetric adalah relevansi di lapangan dalam penilaian keberlanjutan pada universitas di seluruh dunia. Green campus is also the implementation of the integration of environmental science in all aspects of management and sustainable development practices. Therefore, the standards for referral and encouragement to management in developing a green campus program are needed, one of which is UI GreenMetric. The purpose of this study are to determine how the program of UI GreenMetric is implemented at Diponegoro University and to provide recommendations in the category or indicator that has not been fulfilled. Optimizing the implementation of UI GreenMetric can be used as a further reference in the development of green campus concept in Indonesia. This study uses data in the form of a literature study of standards and guidelines used by UI GreenMetric which are considered in accordance with the strategy of increasing effectiveness in implementing green campus. The results showed the score obtained by Diponegoro University in accordance with the methods contained in the UI GreenMetric is 8550. Evaluation of the method used by the UI GreenMetric leads to critical problems in universities ranking related to sustainability. The GreenMetric UI method does not provide a minimum threshold for participation in ranking. Another problem contained in the UI GreenMetric method is relevance in the field in sustainability assessments at universities throughout the world.
