Abstract

Petani memerlukan informasi dan pengetahuan untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi tanaman padi dengan mempraktekkan cara tanam yang baik. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah bantuan dari spesialis pertanian tidak selalu tersedia disaat petani membutuhkannya sehingga sulit bagi petani untuk berkonsultasi dengan ahli setiap saat.Teknologi informasi yang dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan informasi bagi para petani adalah sistem pakar. Tujuan penelitian ini membangun sistem pakar pengelolaan tanaman padi dengan metode forward chaining dan certainty factor untuk pemilihan varietas bibit padi, petunjuk pemupukan dan penanganan hama penyakit tanaman padi. Data basis pengetahuan didapatkan dari pakar penyuluh pertanian, pakar organisme pengganggu tanaman dan dokumen dari dinas pertanian.Validasi data menggunakan sampel 25 aturan data bibit,8 aturan data pupuk, dan 23 aturan data hama penyakit menghasilkan nilai 100%, menunjukkan bahwa basis pengetahuan sistem pakar pengelolaan tanaman padi telah sesuai dengan pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh pakar dan sistem yang dibangun diuji dengan metode kotak hitam menunjukkan bahwa sistem telah berfungsi dengan baik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi petani tanaman padi. Kata kunci: sistempakar, tanamanpadi, Forward Chaining, Certainty Factor Farmers need information and knowledge to increase rice crop yields by practicing good farming methods. The problem that arises is that assistance from agricultural specialists is not always available when farmers need it so it is difficult for farmers to consult with experts at all times. Information technology that can help meet the information needs of farmers is an expert system. The purpose of this study is to develop an expert system of rice plant management with a forward chaining method and certainty factor for the selection of rice seed varieties, instructions for fertilizing and handling rice plant pests. The knowledge base data was obtained from agricultural extension experts, expert plant disturbance organisms and documents from the agriculture department. Data validation uses a sample of 25 seed data rules, 8 fertilizer data rules, and 23 pestdata rules producing 100% value, indicating that the knowledge base of the rice plant management expert system is in accordance with the knowledge possessed by the expert andthe system is tested by the black box method showing that the system has been functioning well to provide information to rice farmers.
