FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PENGGUNAAN ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI PADA PETANI DALAM MENYEMPROT HAMA DI DESA DOPLANG KECAMATAN JATI KABUPATEN BLORA

Abstract

Penggunaan alat pelindung diri dalam melakukan pekerjaan sangat penting sekali agar terhindar dari kecelakaan kerja. Para petani dalam melakukan penyemprotan hama harus menggunakan alat pelindung diri agar terhindar dari paparan pestisida, ternyata kita di lapangan jarang menggunakan alat pelindung diri pada waktu menyemprot. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa yang berhubugnan dengan penggunaan alat pelindung diri pada petani tersebut. Penelitian ini termasuk explanatory, dengan menggunakan metode cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 54 petani padi yang aktif dalam menyemprot hama di Desa Doplang Kecamatan Jati Kabupaten Blora. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode secara simple random sampling. Sedangkan dari hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan uji statistik rank spearman didapatkan bahwa ada hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (0,001<0,05), ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (0,007<0,05), tidak ada hubungan antara sikap dengan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (0,632<0,05),ada hubungan antara kenyamanan dengan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (0,011<0,05), ada hubungan antara ketersediaan sarana dengan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (0,010<0,05), ada hubungan antara jenis pestisida dengan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (0,024<0,05). Untuk lebih meningkatkan kesadaran para petani tentang manfaat dan pentingnya alat pelindung diri perlu dilakukan penyuluhan yang lebig insentif. Kata Kunci: Faktor, pengetahuan alat pelindung diri , petani penyemprot hama FAKTORS RELATED TO THE UTILIZATION OF PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT AMONG PESTICIDES SPRAYERS IN CULTURAL VILLAGE OF DOPLANG JATI SUBDISTRICT BLORA REGENCY Utilizing self protection equipment in carrying task is very important in order to avoid accident at work. Farmers must wear self protection equipment in sparying pest to avoid the pesticide's exposure. However, in the reality farmers are rarely utilizing those equipments when they are spraying. Based on those facts, we are conserned to do a research taht is aimed to do research that is aimed to find out factors related to the utilization of self protection equipments on farmers. It is an explanatory research and is using cross sectional method. The population of the research is all the rice plant farmers which are actively sparaying pest at Doplang Village Jati subdistric Blora Regency. The Samples are o btained by simple random sampling method. Meanwhile, from the result of research using rank spearman ststistical test, we obtain a relationship between education level toward self protection equipment utilization (0,001<0,05), relationship between knowledge level toward self protection equipment utilization (0,007<0,05), no relationship between attitude toward self protection equipment utilization (0,632<0,05), relationship between fit toward self protection equipment utilization (0,011<0,05),relationship between tool availability toward self protection equipment utilization (0,010<0,05), relationship between the type of pesticidde toward self protection equipment utilization (0,024<0,05). In order to increase awareness of farmers concerning about the benefit and importance of self protection equipment utilization, we need to held more intensive illumination and information.
