Abstract

ABSTRACT Sandra, Clara Monica. 2020. “Self Actualization Representation of Character Kun Chan in Anime Mirai by Mamoru Hosoda (A Literature Psychology Research)”. A thesis of Japanese and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. This thesis uses a material object in the form of an anime entitled Mirai by Mamoru Hosoda. Meanwhile, the formal object of this research is the self-actualization representation of Kun Chan's character. The theory used in this research is the theory of film narrative structure by Himawan Pratista and Abraham Maslow's theory of self-actualization. The purpose of this research is to analyze the narrative structure of the anime Mirai and the self-actualization representation of Kun Chan's character. The results of this study indicate that every human being or individual has a tendency to actualize himself. This is influenced and affects the people around him.
