Abstract

ABSTRACT Fatmala, Kiki Fiska. 2020. “Analysis of Fushigi and The equivalents in Indonesian”. Thesis. Departemen of Japanese Language and Culture. Faculty of Humanities. Diponegoro University. The advisor: S.I Trahutami, S.S, M.Hum. This research aims to analyse the meaning of fushigi following its equivalent in Indonesian. The data used in this research was obtained from several conversations in animes and song lyrics. The methodused for data collecting was by observation method with writing technique. The meaning of fushigi following its equivalent in Indonesian was analyzed by using translasional comparison method with other language was used to determinant each meaning. The analyzed data result presentation is done by using descriptive method. This research’s result shows that fushigi can be attached by particles to, no, and ni. Each particles gave a different nuance in each sentence. This was what distinguishes between Japanese sentence structure with Indonesian sentence structure. Fushigi has several meaning such as ‘miracle’, ‘strange’, ‘mysterious’, and ‘suspicious’. Keywords: adjectives, fushigi, meaning, equivalent meaning
