ABSTRACT Widianingsih, Erni. 2020. “Analisis Wacana Iklan Website Pada Produk KFC Berbahasa Jepang” Thesis, Japanese Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Supervisor MaharaniPatria Ratna, S.S., M.Hum. This research has purpose to describe the structure and language function in Japanese edition of KFC web commercials, between June 2018 until December 2019. This research using descriptive-qualitative method to determine the advertisements discourse structure. this project use the theory from Bolen to determine the structure and widyatama theory to determine the language functions. This research contains 8 data analysis of advertisement structure with the language functions of the advertisement. these advertisement structure contains 3 points-the main idea, the passages , and the conclusion. As a result, the main ideas are often appeared in these 8 data analysis. there are 5 language functions which are informative, persuasive, reminder, speed up the decision, and building images. the language functions that often appear is persuasive function.
