Advisor: Prof. Mudjahirin Thohir, M. A, and Ken Widyatwati, S.S, M.Hum. The object of the research is Ketika Cinta Harus Bersabar novel by Nurlaila Zahra. This research uses qualitative methods. This study aim to knowing the structural novel and to uncover the problems conntained in the story. The results of this study are described descriptively. The results obtained is that classic problems such as arranged marriages are still possible among urban young people. The metropolitant social environment does not necessarily gurantee people can choose their own match. Keywords: Structural, novel, arranged marriage, social, metropolitant.
