Abstract

ABSTRACT Roberto, 2020. “Analisis Perangkat Kohesi dalam Wacana Drama Serial Kyou Kara Ore wa!! Episode 1”. Thesis, Departement of Japanese Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Advisor: Elizabeth I.H.A.N.R., S.S., M.hum. This research aims to describe cohesion elements found in serial drama discourse and how the cohesiveness is formed in serial drama. The writer took the data from a serial drama titled ‘Kyou Kara Ore wa!!’ episode 1. The data from the serial drama were collected using watch and note-taking technique. After the data were collected, then the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis method. And then, as data serving, text is served informally. The result of this research includes 57 data served, with 12 data of reference. 12 data of conjunction, 30 data of response and interjection, and 3 data of word order. This serial drama has good cohesiveness because so many elements of cohesion provided in it and the four elements are fulfilling their function in every dialogues or even monologues.
