KATA KERJA MAJEMUK ~MODOSU DALAM KALIMAT BAHASA JEPANG 日本語の文章における複合動詞 ｢ ~戻す｣

Thesis advisor Elizabeth Ika Hesti ANR, S.S., M.Hum. This paper discusses about ‘Compound Verbs ~Modosu in Japanese Sentence”. The objectives of this research are to describe the structure and the meaning of Japanese compound verbs ~modosu and also the similarities and the differences of those two compound verbs. The data being used are obtained from the Japanese website and some online news articles. The data were collected by library study, observation and writing technique. The research data were analyzed using distribusional method. The result of the analysis is presented by informal method which is explained with simple words. Based on the result of analysis, the characteristics of verb that attached to verb ~modosu are action verb/stative verb and volitional verb/non-volitional verb. Compound verb ~modosu have 8 meanings and 4 meaning relations. Keyword: compound verb, modosu
