Abstract

The agropolitan program should get active participation from the community in the surrounding area including farmers, entrepreneurs and the general public where the government as a facilitator in order to improve the welfare of the community. The research objective is to analyze the response of farmers, analyze the relationship of variables to the development of agropolitan areas, and analyze the socio-economic impact of chrysanthemum’s farmers in the area of development of the Agropolitan program. This research was carried out on 3 December to 3 January 2020 in Clapar Hamlet, Duren Village, Bandungan Sub-district, Semarang Regency in the Gemah Ripah Farmer Group. The method in this research in quantitative and qualitative approaches. The data used in the study are primary and secondary data. Qualitative data analysis by providing labels and narrative descriptions, while quantitative analysis with multiple linier regression. The results showed that in general the farmer’s response to the development of the Agropolitan area was classified as medium, knowledge included medium (83%), attitudes were classified as medium (82%), skills were classified as medium (68%); the results of multiple linier regression analysis showed knowledge, attitudes, and skills affect the response rate of farmers amounted to 55.7% while the remaining 44.3% influenced by other variabels. Variabels X1 and X3 have a positive effect, while variabel X2 have a negatif effect, social and economic impact for the community include: increasing the sense of brotherhood between neighbors, reducing people’s desire for urbanization, openness, mutual cooperation, increased income.
