Abstract
Extension is one part of the institutional subsystem that plays a role in the success of smallholder farming system. The success of extension program can be measured through level of farmer satisfaction on agricultural extension agent perfomace in an effort to improve the capabilities of farmers. The purpose of this study was to analyze ideal level the attributes of agricultural extension agent perfomance and farmer satisfaction. The study was conducted on December 13, 2019 - January 13, 2020 in Senden Village, Selo, Boyolali. This research used survey research methods. The sampling used was simple random sampling with 86 respondents. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the highest ideal level lies in the ability of extension agent to receive direct questions and be able to answer questions from farmers with value of 93.15%. The results of the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) showed that quadrant II was the dominant quadrant on the performance attributes of agricultural extension agent. It was consisting six attributes. The Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) was 74.09% or 0.7409 which shows that farmers were satisfied with the performance of agricultural extension agent.
