Abstract
ABSTRACT Trisanie, Gracia Nanda. 2019. “Self Actualization Process of Hatori Chise in anime Mahoutsukai no Yome by Yamazaki Kore A Literature Psychology Research”. A thesis of Japanese and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. This thesis analyzes the process of Hatori Chise’s self actualization in anime Mahoutsukai no Yome. The aim of this research is to analyze the process of Hatori Chise’s self actualization based on Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Data used on this research are 24 episodes of anime Mahoutsukai no Yome. The method used on this research is analytic descriptive method. Theories used in this research are Himawan Pratista’s movie narrative structure theory and Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory. The result of this research is Hatori Chise fulfilled her need of self actualization as Sleigh Beggy and sorcerer when she rescued the dragon that abducted by Cartaphilus, coping her dragon and Sleigh Beggy’s curse, and stopped and rescued Cartaphilus and Joseph. She reached the self actualization after being bought and living together with Elias, which encouraged the satisfaction of 4 stages of needs before.
