EUFEMISME DALAM ANIME ‘AKAGAMI NO SHIRAYUKI HIME’ 「赤紙の白雪姫」というアニメにおける婉曲表現

ABSTRACT Aini, Annisa Nur. 2020. “Euphemism in Anime ‘Akagami no Shirayuki Hime’”. Undergraduate Thesis, Japanese Language and Culture Department, Faculty of Humanitie, Diponegoro University. Thesis advisor S.I Trahutami, S.S, M.Hum. This thesis aims to describe the form and use of euphemism and explain its function. The data used in this thesis is obtained from anime Akagami no Shirayuki Hime Season 1. The method of data collection in this thesis uses simak and catat technique. Method of data analysis uses deskriptif kualitatif methode. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that Japanese euphemism consists of 3 forms that is euphemism in the form of words, euphemism in the form of phrases, and euphemism in the form of clauses. The use of euphemism is usually pronounced by a younger person to the older person, a subordinate to the boss, and to someone who has a high social value. The function of euphemism found is as a means of courtesy and to avoid taboo form. Keywords: euphemism, enkyoku, enkyoku hyougen, taboo word
