The Advisor S.I. Trahutami, S.S, M.Hum. Japanese language has certain characteristics that are used in every conversation. They are letter, vocabulary, pronunciation system, grammatical and language variants (which includes the speaker’s sex factors). This paper is intended to explore the variants of female language (joseigo). Joseigo, which is a variant of a Japanese language that tends to be used by female. Nowadays, there is an increase in the number of males who use joseigo. It can be seen from the factor of uchi-soto concept, social status, and situation. This research explores the joseigo form used by man and factors influencing the use of joseigo by man in anime series Kuragehime. The result of the analysis shows that uchi-soto concept is the dominant factors influencing the use of joseigo by man. Keywords: Joseigo, gender language, language variant
