GAMBARAN KEHIDUPAN TOKOH UTAMA SEBAGAI MANUSIA LIYAN DALAM FILM RIARU ONIGOKKO KARYA SION SONO KAJIAN SASTRA FEMINIS 園子温の『リアル鬼ごっこ』に表現された「もう一方」の性としての主人公の人生 ―実存主義フェミニズム研究

Abstract

ABSTRACT Goenawan, Teresa Chiquita. 2019. “Depiction of The Main Character’s Life as The Other in Sion Sono’s movie ‘Riaru Onigokko’”. A thesis of Japanese and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. This thesis analyzes the depiction of the main character’s life as the other in Sion Sono’s movie, Riaru Onigokko. This study’s aim is to analyzes on how the movie Riaru Onigokko depicts the main character’s life as The Other. Data used in this research is the entire Riaru Onigokko movie. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Theories used in this research are movie narrative theory by Himawan Pratista and existential feminism theory by Simone de Beauvoir. Based on the data analysis, it’s concluded that the main character of the movie Riaru Onigokko experienced oppression that reinforced her status as The Other. The main character experienced various kind of gender-related oppressions as a student, a married woman, and an athlete. Various kind of oppressions experienced by the main character throughout the movie are life choices limitation, discrimination based on virginity status, being distrusted because she’s a woman, physical abuse, verbal abuse, forced marriage, being chased, and murder attempt. In the real world, she also experienced gender-related oppressions such as male entitlement behavior, women commercial exploitation, physical attacks, sexual assault attempt, and sexual assault justification.
