Abstract

Proses industri logam dapat menimbulkan pencemaran udara oleh debu yang timbul dari proses pengolahan atau hasil industri. Debu merupakan partikel padat yang dapat menimbulkan penyakit. Salah satu penyakit paru akibatpemaparan debu yang terus menerus dalam jangka waktu yang lama adalah penurunan kapasitas paru yang dapat terjadi dapat berupa obstruksi, restriksi, kanker serta kelainan paru dengan derajat cacat yang ringan sampai berat untuk tenaga kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar debu dan perbedaan kapasitas vital paru pada tenaga kerja di empat bagian finishing industri cor logam, Klaten, dengan jumlah sampel 30 orang. rancangan penelitian bersifat explanatory dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan cross sectional. Persentase kadar debu lingkungan kerja di industricor logam pada bagian finishing sudah melebihi nilai ambang batas (NAB) dengan nilai rata-rata 5,4775 mg/m3 (NAB debu logam 5 mg/m3 menurut Surat Edaran Menteri Tenaga Kerja No. 01 SE/MEN/1997). Hasil uji statistik one way anova antara pemaparan debu terhadap kapasitas vital paru ada perbedaan signifikan, untuk FEV1 p-value = 0,029 dan untuk FVC p-value = 0,002. Dengan tingginya konsentrasi debu di bagian gerinda dan pemboran yang dapat mempengaruhi kapasitas vital paru pekerja, hendakanya pengusaha industri cor logam dapat menambah ventilasi (lokal exhaust ventilasi), sehingga kadar debu di ruang gerinda dan pemboran dapat berkurang. Kata Kunci: Kadar debu, kapasitas vital paru, industri cor logam, Klaten THE VARIATION OF DUST CONCENTRATION AND LUG VITAL CAPACITY AMONG WORKERS AT FOUR DEPARTMENT FINISHING IN METAL INDUSTRY Industrial process can be told as the dust source. Dust is solid particle, and one of chemical component which can generate the disease. Dust continously in long periode, with the existence of degradation of lungs vital capacities. One of lungs vital capacities disease is obstruction, restriction, cancer and also lungs disparity with the ligh deformity degree until heavily for the labors. Intention of this research is to know the variation of dust concentration and lung vitalcapacity among workers at four department of finishing in metal industry in Klaten with the amount of samples is 30 peoples. Research device have the character of the explanatory by using cross sectional method approach. The percentage of work environmental dust rate in metal cast industry of shares finishing department have exceeded the threshold value (NAB) with the average value 5,4775 mg/m3 (NAB of metal dust is 5 mg/m3 according to Hanbill of Manpower Minister No. 01 SE/MEN/1997). Result of one way anova statistical test between dust effected to lungs vital capacities there is significantly difference, for the FEV1 p-value = 0,029 dan untuk FVC p-value = 0,002.
