Abstract

ABSTRACT Shabrina, Annisa Wilma. ” The Personality of Jinta Yadomi in Mari Okada’s Anime AnoHana according to Jung’s Theory”. A thesis of Japanese Department, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Advisor: Budi Mulyadi, S.Pd., M.Hum AnoHana is an anime adaptation from AnoHana Novel created by Mari Okada that told a story about 6 people including Jintan, Menma, Yukiatsu, Anaru, Tsuruko and Poppo. At one time, Menma has an accident and died, soon after, all of their lives have changes since the moment. They started to feel guilty and their friendship have been forgotten. In the following 10 years, their grown up as teenagers. Jintan became a Hikikomori (conceal himself from society/antisocial). Poppo expelled from the school then became a wanderer, while, Anaru hid her sadness behind the makeup and her materialis life style. Meanwhile, Yukiatsu and Tsuruko got accepted in elite school that made them to study harder every day. Objective of the research is to analyze personality on protagonist characters towards their psychological condition. The data collection methods that have been implemented were descriptive qualitative. Furthermore, theory of research that have been used were literature psychoanalysis. Every findings on the data analysis is aiming to determine personality of main characters during workaday. The expected result is feeling personality that has been seen by the expression of research object, also influenced by other characters who are affecting personality and development of the psychological characters.
