ANALISIS PENGARUH FAKTOR-FAKTOR PEMICU STRES (STRESSORS) TERHADAP STRES KERJA INTERNAL AUDITOR PT BANK NEGARA INDONESIA (PERSERO) TBK

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study investigates the causes of work stress among internal auditors in PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Specifically, it identifies organizational, job and social stressors; and examines their relationships with work stress. A model proposing that organizational, job and social stressors are directly related to work stress was developed for this study. The study constitutes a causal research with survey method. Data for this study was obtained from a 5-points Likert scale questionnaire mailed to 128 internal auditors. The statistical method for analysis and hypothesis testing employed in this study was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Lisrel version 8.70 programs. Results show that there was a positive relationship between job stressors (qualitative and quantitative overload, career progress, job scope, responsibility for others and time pressure) and work stress. Meanwhile, organizational and social stressors were not related to work stress. Keywords : organizational stressors, job stressors, social stressors, work stress, internal auditors
