Abstract
ABSTRACT Firas Sabila Nurdini. 2019. "Use of Aisatsu at Work in Japanese". Diponegoro University's Faculty of Humanities, Japanese Language and Culture Study Program. Under the guidance of S.I. Trahutami, SS, M.Hum and Drs. Suharyo, M.Hum. This research focuses on analyzing Aisatsu variations at work in Japanese. The purpose of this study is to find out what types of Aisatsu are commonly spoken, especially at work and what are the functions of the Aisatsu. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The data used is the anime Fune o Amu Episode 1-11 adapted from the novel by Shion Miura. The theories used include the theory of Aisatsu functions according to Ibuki Hajime and the theory of the distribution of types of Aisatsu according to Mizutami Osamu and Mizutani Nobuko. From the analysis of the anime footage Fune o Amu concluded, that the types of Aisatsu at work in Japanese that were found were Aisatsu in expressions of apology, gratitude, when meeting, when separated, time markers and congratulations. Then the most widely arising Aisatsu function is the affirmation of public life awareness
