Abstract
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to analize the relationships between the professional commitment and anticipatory socialization with accounting students` ethical orientation. The anticipatory socialization using the perception of the importance of financial reporting to a proxy. The data of the study was collected from the Accounting students in University in the Central Java who completed and returned the questionnaires. The data was gotten by distributing the questionnaires directly to the students, by snowballing and posting mail. 400 questionnaires was distributed and 183 (45,75%) useable questionnaires was used to analize hypotesis. Examination is using by analize the correlation and t-test. The result showed that professional commitment have no relationships with accounting students` ethical perceptions and ethical intentions. The result also showed that accounting students` ethical perceptions and ethical intentions is not different between accounting students` with higher and lower perceptions of the importance of financial reporting.
