Research of optimation fuel dimension have been done for PWR type with UO2 fuel, light water (H2O) moderators and coolant. Design of heterogeneous reactor use finite cylinder reactor core geometry. MCNP (Monte Carlo for Neutron and Particle) was to simulated a random process. Monte Carlo method use probability theory and each event looked as a different event than before. Reactor critical condition can be known from effective multiplication factor (keff) value. From critical condition can be determined fuel critic dimension. Variation of fuel dimension from 0.51275 cm into 0.59275 cm with 0.02 cm increased, while thick of gas gap, cladding, moderators, core diameter and core high are constant. Keff value can be calculated with eight fuel assembly coated. Simulation to result in a keff value with fuel dimension from reference is 0.95884. Each increasing fuel dimension will increase keff value too. Maximal fuel radial to result in 0.99113 keff value is 0.57275 cm.
