Abstract

Pengolahan lumpur sungai saat ini belum optimal, pengolahan yang dilakukan biasanya hanya pengerukan lumpur tersebut sebagai bahan tanah timbunan untuk keperluan bangunan. Sedangkan pada saat ini lumpur sungai sudah terkontaminasi dengan limbah baik limbah dari rumah tangga ataupun limbah dari pabrik, begitu sama kondisinya pada Sungai Kaligarang Sampanagan karena keberadaanya dekat dengan permukiman, sehingga dilakukannya penelitian dengan proses filtrasi lumpur Sungai Kaligarang Sampangan dengan menggunakan plate and frame filter press. Sebelum dilakukan proses filtrasi, limbah mendapatkan perlakuan dengan pengkondisi kimia yaitu penambahan Polyacrylamide (PAM). Hasil analisa dari lumpur Sungai Kaligarang Sampangan didapat nilai Moisture Content (MC) pada tekanan 3 bar sebesar 54,34%; 63,97%; 71,96%, pada tekanan 6 bar sebesar 53,29%; 60,48%; 71,17%, pada tekanan 9 bar sebesar 43,81%; 53,66%; 70,15%. Hasil analisa Compression Ratio (Cr) didapat nilai Cr pada tekanan 3 bar sebesar 72,41%; 70,27%; 34%, pada tekana 6 bar sebesar 77,78%; 53,85%; 52,63%, pada tekanan 9 bar sebesar 55,56%; 60%; 80%. Dengan efisiensi tekanan yang digunakan yaitu pada tekanan 6 bar. Kata Kunci : Lumpur Sungai Kaligarang Sampangan, plate and frame filter press, tekanan ABSTRACT River sludge treatment is currently not optimal, the treatment that is done is usually only dredging the sludge as pile material for building purposes. Whereas at the moment the river mud has been contaminated with both household and factory waste, so is the condition in the Kaligarang Sampanagan River because of its proximity to the settlement, so that a study was carried out with the Kaligarang Sampangan River sludge filtration process using a plate and frame filter press . Before the filtration process is carried out, the waste gets treated with a chemical conditioner that is the addition of Polyacrylamide (PAM). The analysis results of the Kaligarang Sampangan River sludge obtained the value of Moisture Content (MC) at a pressure of 3 bar of 54.34%; 63.97%; 71.96%, at a pressure of 6 bar of 53.29%; 60.48%; 71.17%, at 9 bar pressure of 43.81%; 53.66%; 70.15%.
