Abstract
Filtrasi (penyaringan) adalah proses pemisahan partikel zat padat dari fluida dengan jalan melewatkan fluida tersebut melalui suatu medium penyaring. Dalam percobaan ini, proses filtrasi digunakan untuk menentukan kondisi paling optimal dalam Plate And Frame Filter dengan digunakan variabel bahan CaCO3 konsentrasi 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%. Larutan dialirkan dalam medium filter dalam proses batch. Dimana hasil paling optimal dari kadar air dan massa air dalam filtrat yaitu pada kondisi bukaan valve ¼ dan konsentrasi CaCO3 2%. Hasil optimal yang didapat kondisi bukaan valve ¼ dengan nilai kadar air 0,016% dan kondisi optimal pada bukaan valve ¼ dengan konsentrasi 2% yaitu massa air 30196 gram. Kata Kunci : Filtrasi, Plate and frame filter, CaCO3 ABSTRACT Filtration (filtering) is the process of separating solid particles from fluid by passing the fluid through a filter medium. In this experiment, the filtration process is used to determine the most optimal conditions in the Plate And Frame Filter by using CaCO3 material variable concentrations of 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%. The solution is flowed in a filter medium in a batch process. Where the most optimal result of water content and water mass in the filtrate is the valve opening condition ¼ and the concentration of CaCO3 2%. Optimal results obtained by valve opening conditions ¼ with a moisture content value of 0.016% and optimal conditions at valve openings konsentrasi with a concentration of 2%, namely the mass of water 30196 grams.
