REFLEKSI SOSIAL DALAM LAUT BERCERITA KARYA LEILA S. CHUDORI: SEBUAH KAJIAN SASTRA MARXIS

Thesis (S1) Indonesian Literature Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University Semarang. The material object in this study is the novel "Laut Bercerita" by Leila S. Chudori. This study aims to reveal the social reflection contained in the novel. This study uses two theories in the process of analysis, namely The Fictional Structure Theory and The Marxist Literature Theory with Reflection Model. Fiction Structure Theory is used to find out the interrelationship between the elements that construct the story in the novel, so as to facilitate the process of object analysis. Whereas the Marxist Literature Theory with Reflection Model is used to analyze social reflection in the novel accompanied by related facts as comparative data. The results of this study reveal that the novel Laut Bercerita is a product of literary work that reflects reality in the real world. The story raised in the novel is a reflection or representation of an event that has occurred in Indonesia. The results were obtained from a comparison between fiction in the novel and data from secondary sources regarding facts that related to, using the Marxist Literature theory with reflection model as the blade of analysis.
