ANALISIS DAMPAK LOCUS OF CONTROL TERHADAP KINERJA DAN KEPUASAN KERJA INTERNAL AUDITOR (Penelitian Terhadap Internal Auditor Di Jawa Tengah

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to examine whether internal auditors’ job performance and/or job satisfaction are related to differences in the personality variable locus-of-control. The data of the study was collected from the firms’ internal auditors at Central Java who completed and returned the questionnaires. The data was gotten by distributing the questionnaires directly to the respondents. 500 questionnaires was distributed and 80 of them (19,20%) was used as the analysis samples. The data analysis used was Mann-Whitney Test in SPSS ver. 15.0. The study finds that those internal auditors with internal locus of control appear to outperform cohorts with external traits. Contrary to expectations, reported job satisfaction levels for internals are not significantly different from sample members with external locus of control.
