Abstract

Departement of Nursing Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University June, 2019 ABSTRACT Irmaya Nur Solikah The Overview of Sleep Quality of Student’sIn Islamic Boarding Schools xxxx + 92 Pages + 17 Tables + 2 Pictures+ 11 Attachment Students of Islamic Boarding Schools have many responsibilitiesto fulfill their target and academic assignments both in campus and in Islamic boarding school. Many activities and events of students in islamic boarding schools tend to takes time rest and sleep that impact on the emergence of disruption caused less fulfilled rest and sleep needs. The Aim of this research is to describe the overview of sleep quality of student in Pondok Pesantren Kyai Galang Sewu, Semarang. This research is a descriptive quantitative method with single variable. Sampling technique used in this study is total sampling. This research involved 200 respondents. This research used PSQI questionnaire, and the validity have been tested with results of Alpha Cronbach was 0,83.The result showed that students had poor sleep quality (97,5%). More than half of students had mild sleep disorders (79%) and they had a sleep duration <5 hours (88,5%).The conclusion of this research isthat students in islamic boarding schools are having problems such as mild sleep disorders and short sleep duration. Students need to manage their sleep time wisely in order to make their activities go well so the performance and concentration can be maintained.
