Gambaran Minat Ibu terhadap Penyuluhan Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak di Posyandu Desa Ngeling Kecamatan Pecangaan Kabupaten Jepara

Abstract

The efectiveness of counseling in posyandu (integrated health service post) to increased knowledge and behavior of maternal and child health is influenced by mother’s interest in the material, method, media and counselor of counseling. The study aims to describe about mother’s interest in maternal and child health counseling that held on posyandu. This study was a descriptive survey with quantitative and cross-sectional study. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling with samples of 137 mothers who visited posyandu by using questionnaires mother’s interest in maternal and child health counseling. The results showed that 101 mothers (73,7%) had an adequate level in interest of counseling, 21 mothers (15,3%) had a good level and 15 (10,9%) mothers had a poor level. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that nurses or health care providers should improve the quality of counseling starting from the selection of material (exclusive breastfeeding), methods (lecture), media (booklet) and instructor competencies (using easy-to-understand language) so that the effectiveness of counseling at posyandu increases.
