Abstract

The evaluation of broiler farm’s performance becomes important after the statement from Memperindag (SK 115/MPP/Kep/2/1998), that chicken meat turns out to be one of the nine staples (sembako). It means that the state has the responsibility for it is accomplishment. This research is intended to give the information regarding the chicken meat supply in order to supporting Memperindag policy. For this work, the analysis of profit level and income is, hence, needed. Study case was taken from 16 plasma groups, restaurants and chicken slaughtering house under the Commercial Division of PT Anwar Sierad Produce Tbk of West Java during the year of 2003. Data was analysed by the SPSS version 10.0 program. The result showed that during year 2003, the production cost and the income from Commercial Division of PT Anwar Sierad Produce Tbk of West Java were Rp 20.426.024.290 and Rp 28.238.062.050, respectively. It yielded the earnings of Rp. 5.651.816.189. The income was significantly (P<0,01) influenced by DOC’s price, feed, medicine and vaccine, labour and brooder. The cage depreciation did not show a significantly effect ( P<0,01) to the income. It could be concluded that in one year, plasma gained a benefit within five times of harverst. This condition occured to the population of 8.000−128.000 birds/harverst period with a total harvest population of 542.000 birds/harverst period. The company income was partially influenced by DOC’s price, brooding, feed, medicines, vitamines and labour. The integration system between the nucleus and the plasma could increase the income
