ABSTRACT Ramadhan, Chalih. 2019. “Kesantunan Tindak Tutur Direktif Perintah dan Ajakan dalam Anime Noragami: Aragoto”. Thesis, Japanese Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Supervisor Maharani Patria Ratna, S.S., M.Hum. This study has purpose to describe directive forms of command and invitation and how politeness of those utterances. This study collected data from Noragami’s Aragoto anime by Adachi Toka. The method that used for analysis data is descriptive qualitative. Data were analyzed using the theory of Iori and Namatame as a reference to analyze the form of directive commands and invitations of speech acts and theories from Leech used to analyze how polite speech is. Based on the results of the study, it shows that directive speech with the meaning of the command is more dominant when compared with the meaning of the invitation, which affects many speeches that are not polite. It was due to the Noragami: Aragoto anime recounts the relationship between a god who has a higher position than the shinki of a loyal devotee. The gods considered themselves to have the power to arouse arrogant traits that were not realized when they are giving orders or invitations which weighed on the shinki in order to fulfill the desires of the gods.
