EMOSI TOKOH UTAMA DALAM CERPEN “SI CANTIK YANG TAK BOLEH KELUAR MALAM” KARYA EKA KURNIAWAN: KAJIAN PSIKOLOGI SASTRA

This study examined the main character’s psychology within the short story “Si Cantik yang Tak Boleh Keluar Malam”. The author uses the literature study method because the data is obtained from written sources that are relevant to the problem. The author used data analysis to describe and explain the study through clear words and sentences. The data was studied through two theories, which were structural theory of fiction and psychology of literature theory. The result of the study shows the personality structure imbalance of the main character and the deep emotion of sadness. The parental constraint which goes too far shapes a bad personality for the child. The Id within the main character is very dominant compared to the ego and superego she possesses, and it can be said that it shapes a bad personality for the main character.
