KRITIK SOSIAL DALAM NOVEL CATATAN JUANG KARYA FIERSA BESARI SUATU TINJAUAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

Thesis (S1) Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Diponegoro University, Semarang. One novel containing social criticism is the novel Catatan Juang. This novel raises several problems that exist in society. The study of the novel Catatan Juang aims to uncover social criticism contained in Fiersa Besari's novel Catatan Juang through a sociological review of literature. The object of this research is the novel Catatan Juang by Fiersa Besari which was published by MediaKita in 2017. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method, with technical content analysis that is revealing and then describing its social criticism, what and how social criticism contained in the novel. The resulf of this study are structural elements contained in the novel Catatan Juang which includes; characters and characterizations, plot and distribution, as well as the setting or setting, as well as social criticism contained in the novel Catatan Juang by Fiersa Besari which includes; first, social criticism of environmental damage; second, social criticism of public policy and bureaucracy; third, criticism of land policy.
