KRITIK SOSIAL PADA CERPEN “ANAK INI MAU MENGENCINGI JAKARTA?” KARYA AHMAD TOHARI (KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA)

(Hereinafter abbreviated "AIMMJ?") tells the story of the life of the poor people of Jakarta who live on the edge of the railroad tracks. "AIMMJ?" shows events using daily language briefly and easily understood by the reader. The short story "AIMMJ?" has criticisms implied to criticize the government that being ignorant about the lower class society. The problems in this study are how the elements of the structure of the short story "AIMMJ?" and the social criticism contained in the short story "AIMMJ?" using the study of sociology of literature. The aim of this study is to reveal the elements of the short story structure as a builder of literary works and social criticisms contained in the short story, which the author wants to convey to the reader. The method used in this study uses two methods of short story analysis "AIMMJ?". First, the analysis of the intrinsic elements of literary works with a structural approach. Second, the analysis of social criticisms contained in the short story by using a sociological approach to literature. The results of the structural analysis in this study are: The theme in the short story "AIMMJ?" is the life of the poor and obedient people in this short story was written implicitly, such as respecting and being grateful for anything like property, house, food, and human dignity; as small people they still have a strong will to live, love each other, generous, and always happy even surrounded by limited circumstances. The flow in the short story "AIMMJ?" has three stages: the beginning (exposure and treatment), middle (climax), end (completion). The characters in "AIMMJ?" short stories such as Children, Men (fathers), and Women (mothers). The background of the place in the short story is the train, the cardboard house on the edge of the railroad tracks, and the coffee shop. The time frame in the short story is taken at dawn. The social background in the short story is a comparison between low social status of the residents in the edge of the railroad tracks and the high social status of the residents inside the train. Meanwhile, the results of the "AIMMJ?" short story social criticism analysis is social criticism of government attention on the issue of poverty, social criticism of violations of community norms, and social criticism of environmental pollution.
